SRDSC signed the License Agreement for purchasing of AVEVA Marine CAD from AVEVA (Great Britain) to ensure the stable Centre’s development, the competitive recovery at the foreign markets and the productivity and effectiveness of executed design works.
– to improve the designing process and documentation release;
– to create the single database for processing, creation, recording and storing of design documentation on the basis of 3D ship model for the different design stages;
– to reduce the number of errors in the technical documentation and, due to this, to enhance the quality of developed documentation;
– to raise labour productivity due to the routine design process automation;
Commenting signed agreement, Vadym Borysov, Director of SRDSC, underlined: “A lot of time had been spent before we made this decision. First of all, it depended on the considerable purchasing cost, as well as the need to ensure the integrated CAD implementation at the Centre for the efficient use. SRDSC is willing to improve the design processes and documentation release to meet the requirements of the best world design standards for the surface combat ships».
It should be noted that as far back as 2016, SRDSC developed the Conception of New CAD Implementation. This document presents: the reasonable necessity to implement a CAD, the selection criterions and possible effect from implementation, the complex analysis of a CAD use in the shipbuilding, the CAD implementation algorithm, the economic evaluation of implementation and the ways to reduce the impact of negative factors.
