30 specialists of SRDSC obtained the AVEVA certificates of software training on 2 May 2019. The certificates were presented by Andriy ZHEREBETSKYY, Director, C-Job Nikolayev LLC (official partner of AVEVA (Great Britain) in Ukraine), and Vadym BORYSOV, Director, SRDSC and Dmytro BUSSOV, Chief Engineer, SRDSC.
Opening the certificate award ceremony, Vadym BORYSOV mentioned that SRDSC is interested in professional development of its employers, as well as in the improvement of their professional level. He told about the difficulties related with a lack of state support for such training programs and about the efforts made by the SRDSC’s Management to give its employers the opportunities to master the innovative technologies. Then he pointed out that due to the AVEVA Marine software SRDSC will succeed both the improving of the design works and the adjusting of all design documentation of surface ships in accordance with the international requirements.
Andriy ZHEREBETSKYY added that it was only a first step in AVEVA software learning, as at the future there will be new courses. This new knowledge will be implemented in developing of new projects.
There were the months of active training before the award ceremony. It was held in different areas almost four months (from December, 2018), under the License Agreement for purchasing of AVEVA Marine CAD signed earlier with C-Job Nikolayev LLC. Three coaches of C-Job Nikolayev LLC and three chief tutors in CAD of AVEVA’s office in Malmo (Sweden) conducted this training. It took place in the specially equipped class at the facilities of SRDSC. Its aim was to lean the fundamental work techniques on the AVEVA training licenses.
The main goals of 25 classes (consisted of five blocks: Initial Design Geometry; Hydrostatics & Hydrodynamics; Hull Design & Admin; Everything 3D & Admin; Diagrams & Admin; Engineering & Admin) were to get the deep theoretical knowledge and the practical skills in CAD systems. These will help the specialists to develop new projects applying advanced approaches of ship design.
In the short term, the gained knowledge make possible to develop the detailed design of fast craft within the scope of a pilot project of implementation AVEVA Marine CAD at SRDSC. Also, the new software will be used to design war- and civil ships of different types for the local and foreign customers.
